GoMo, the online-only budget mobile brand operated by eir, has reached the 250,000 customer milestone. The network was launched a year ago in an effort to capture a bigger chunk of the youth market. Initially, it offered unlimited lifetime calls, texts and data for €10 a month, but increased this to €12.99 once the 100,000 customer mark was breached.

“We are incredibly proud of what GoMo has achieved in its first year,” Caroline Lynch, GoMo Marketing Lead. “Reaching 250,0000 customers in 12 months clearly demonstrates the success of GoMo, and this is just the beginning. We continue to listen and change to meet our customer’s needs. “For example, now with GoMo, a customer can have up to four SIMs on one account, meaning GoMo is a one-stop, connectivity solution for a family.” In recent months, other operators including Three, have begun offering similar style products in order to win some of the youth markets.
